Helen’s Recipe Box

wpid-20150217_112904.jpgA decision to finally flip through recipe boxes belonging to my Great-aunt Helen, who left this world in 2005, inspired this food for fun series. Helen was a strong spirit, an independent woman ahead of her time. Her recipes are in large part simple and practical just as she was. But there are surprises, too, which I’m looking forward to discovering as we add recipes to this page. Each recipe will be followed the next week by a cocktail pairing, via Cocktail U.
